After their beautiful wedding at the Watermark Chapel, Mr. & Mrs. Johns headed north to the McKinney Flour Mill for their reception. We arrived just before sunset, and I couldn’t resist stealing Kevin and Laura for five minutes to take some rockin’ romantics.
Laura may be one of the most radiant brides I have ever photographed. These two are clearly in love. I never saw them leave each other’s side or stop smiling all night. 🙂
With the help of our friends at A Vintage Rush, Laura and her bridesmaids did an amazing job putting personal DIY touches throughout the venue. She used window panes as her seating charts, wine barrels and an old door to display her gorgeous (and delicious) cakes from The Cake Guys, and many other repurposed items were featured throughout. I also love how much color the bouquets brought to the table!
Laura and Kevin were whisked away promptly at 10:30 to their B&B by a horse drawn carriage. Funny side note—I noticed as I was packing up I had a random squirrel key chain in my bag. After asking all of the bridal party we came to the conclusion that it was Kevin’s and Laura’s room key…OOPS! Not to worry it was delivered before they ever knew it was missing and made for a great story.
Congratulations Laura and Kevin!! I am so happy you two found each other. It is obvious you have a faith-centered life surrounded by family and friends who love you dearly—including us! Joey and I were humbled to have documented memories for you to share for generations to come.
