Chris and Nicole had an intimate backyard wedding at their beautiful Dallas home. The two tied the knot on a beautiful May day—surrounded by their closest family members. A day long awaited by many. My favorite moment during the ceremony was when Chris’ son, and precious ring bearer, gave Nicole a “Mom” charm. Such a simple gift that that will be treasured for a lifetime. Once they exchanged vows they shared a private first dance in the rain and embraced every minute!
This intimate backyard wedding was a love story 20 years in the making. On July 17th, 1996, Chris Gaines drove 890 miles from Arlington, Texas to Macon, Georgia to ask Nicole to spend the rest of her life with him. 6,527 days later their two families became one.
I love how Nicole went with a less traditional wedding gown. Her black, champagne, and white striped dress from Nordstrom and statement necklace were a perfect compliment for her casual backyard wedding!
I love when couples value the investment of their wedding day photography. No wedding or celebration is ever too big or too small. At the end of the day memories fade, flowers wilt, and your photographs will tell a story for you to share for generations to come!
