As husband and wife wedding photographers in Dallas Fort Worth, who get most of our business from referrals, it is always fun seeing familiar faces—bridal party, guests, and vendors!
After Jennifer and Garrett’s beautiful ceremony at University Park United Methodist Church we headed over to Three Three Three First Avenue for a night of fun, fellowship, and a lot of love! Dallas boasts of having the best skyline in the world, so Three Three Three First Avenue was a perfect downtown Dallas wedding venue for this Chicago bride and their family. Although, I am still not sure if Dallas’ skyline really beats Chicago’s; Jen and Garrett’s wedding details definitely wowed their guest with a touch of southern charm. Jen is an event coordinator, so of course she had a dream team of vendors. Including one of our favorites, Ruth Robbins with Tastefully Yours Cakes. Because let’s be honest not everyone can bake a cake that not only looks pretty but tastes AMAZING! LA Floral Designs, Beautiful Lighting, Shag, Fauxcades, and GTexas Catering did a fabulous job working together to create a warm, inviting classic wedding with touches of southern charm just as the couple had envisioned. It was a pleasure working alongside the Dallas based videographers, Dream Driven Media as well . To top off the evening, since Texas is known for their BBQ, the couple made a homemade marinade and thanked their guests for “marinating their love” as their creative departing gift.
When your siblings are your best-men and maid of honor you can always count on their speeches being full of great childhood stories, a few “roasts” and the need for a handkerchief. Jennifer’s sister even brought a flow chart poster from Chicago that Jennifer made as a child and told the story and analysis of how her dreams of marrying a southern gentleman became her reality that day! Jen took a leap of faith moving to Dallas and shortly after met her perfect southern gentleman. I love real life love stories that are so good they should be made into a romantic comedy with a fairy tale ending.
Having a good DJ makes all the difference in how the reception flows and Paul Andrews with Randal Stout Entertainment and his right hand man Velvet Chocolate kept the guests on their feet and the dance floor energized. Oh and if you are a Blues Brother’s fan, you would love the exit he provides. Since he like to keep it a secret I won’t divulge too many details, but if you are a fan of The Blues Brothers you should definitely check him out!
