Ten years ago Joey and I sat as eager freshmen at the top of the steps of The Association building, overlooking Texas A&M University. We were told by our counselors of Aggie Fish Club to “look to your left and to your right; these people (strangers) are going to be your best friends, bridesmaids, groomsmen, and some of you may even get married…” We didn’t know at the time that ALL of those statements would be so true. There is something special about the connections we make as Aggies. It doesn’t matter how well we know them; we always feel connected. “From the outside looking in, you can’t understand it. And from the inside looking out, you can’t explain it.” So when Rocco and Clara asked us if we could fit a campus engagements portrait session into our Fall schedule, we jumped at the opportunity. We get it. We, too, fell in love at Texas A&M. Rocco and Clara actually went to the same high school for two years but had never met until they were reunited as Aggies.

It rained cats and dogs all the way down to College Station, but Clara was so optimistic that she was ready to pose for pictures dancing in the rain if she had to! Luckily the rain let up just as we got to the steps of the Administration Building—we were greeted by a full rainbow!

It great for us to walk through campus and see how much had changed in the past few years. I love all of the new words around the renovated Memorial Student Center, but Loyalty just seemed perfect for this session!

Clara and Rocco’s Aggieland engagement session would not be complete without taking a stroll under the Century Tree. The Century Tree has a deep-rooted tradition of being the most romantic spot on campus. People say that if you stroll under the Century Tree with your special someone you will be with them forever! The same goes for friendships, so it looks like we are now going to be friends forever:)

We wrapped up the session at the top of the West Campus Garage with Kyle Field as the backdrop just in time to head to Northgate to watch the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Football team BTHO Ole Miss! We are looking forward to documenting these two tying the knot this spring.
