As children get older, turn into adolescents, move off to college, and parents quickly get closer to being empty nesters, it can be challenging to keep up with family portraits. Thus the reason why most youngest children, at least from larger families, feel like they don’t have as many pictures of themselves as their older siblings. The Testut family started fine-art portraiture when the girls were newborns and their walls are covered in beautifully framed portraits. As Yvette put it, “they learned at a young age when you see a camera—look and smile.” I must say they are a photogenic crew! Since Joey and I both come from large families ourselves we know how much these portraits will be treasured for years to come.
